gold signs for shannon

Loving these gold wedding signs for my client Shannon!

brittney: envelopes & menus

Brittney contacted me to initially address her wedding envelopes in Modern Mix. She also decided to have me write out their wedding reception menu, which I then sent a high resolution file to her, and she had them printed out.

trifecta: a tattoo for hunter

I had my very first tattoo request, which was both exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time! I mean, my handwriting is going to be permanently inked on somebody's body FOREVER...that's intense. Hunter wanted something special to honor her three daughters, whom she fondly refers to as the "trifecta." We played around with several different designs and finally went with the design below!

for deanna: a communion book and recipe cards

I had the privilege of customizing a special guest book for my client, Deanna, for her nephew's first communion! Deanna sent me the beautifully bound book, and I detailed the pages inside.

Deanna then sent me some adorable recipe cards by 1canoe2 for me to write family recipes for her future sister-in-law.

Thank you for letting me have a part in two such special events, Deanna!!

new wedding signs

Wedding season is definitely picking up! I have new signs up in the shop to add those extra touches to your special day for your guest book, program, Instagram hashtag, wedding favors, and many more!

little nest portrait shop signs

I was excited when Laura of Little Nest Portraits contacted me to make price cards and signs for two of their shops! Here's a sneak peek...

amy's wedding signs

Amy contacted me to do some wedding signage for her upcoming reception. She needed some elegant touches for the ultra modern surroundings her reception would be taking place in and wanted to bring those touches in through signs for the trash and bottle containers, as well as a note to sit next to her guest book. This was a fun project to do...even trash can signs can be pretty! :)

helen's rehearsal dinner envelopes

I enjoyed trying out a new style for Helen's rehearsal dinner envelopes. We went with something modern, yet classy, a style I call Classy Strokes. I love how the gold ink looked on the square envelopes!

katee's save the date envelopes

I loved these little gold envelopes that Katee sent me to address for her save the dates! She chose Type Rope for each name and a cursive style for the address.

Congratulations, Katee!

anna & matt

I think Anna is about one of the sweetest people I have met! She chose Modern Mix for her save the dates...I can't wait to collaborate with her on her wedding envelopes!

aimee & billy

I loved working with Aimee! She is so fun and spunky and made it such a joy to work on her wedding envelopes. She decided to pair Type Rope with the address style from Simple Strokes 1, and I loved the way the styles worked together.

Congratulations, Aimee and Billy!!

happy new year!

hello, 2013!! here's to a year filled with more love, more alabama adventures, more ideas, more reading, more photos, more crafts, and more perfect cups of coffee!

may this year be our best yet!

jam labels

This past summer, Gabriel, my best friend Wendy, and I picked our own blueberries and made blueberry lime jam with my dear family friend, Ms. Betty. They made perfect little Christmas gifts!

I knew even before we made the jam that I wanted to custom make the labels for each jar. We were so pleased with the results, in both aesthetics and taste!

christmas tags

Merry, Merry Christmas to you and yours! I had fun this year making my own tags for Christmas packages...enjoy!

morgan's birthday

My dear friend Morgan is celebrating her 30th birthday today! We are celebrating in style tonight, 1920s British style that is :) (think Downtown Abbey!)

Once again, I had the joyful opportunity to design the invitations, as well as address the envelopes using Modern Mix.

Happy birthday, precious friend!!

anna's invitations

It was a joy to work on addressing my dear friend (and college roommate!) Anna's wedding invitations! I was actually returning the favor since she helped me address my own 3 years ago!

This style, Fancy Free, is based heavily on the training I received in classic Copperplate calligraphy. This elegant script is perfect for more formal occasions, or if you're just feeling a little fancy. :)

My friend Lauren captured this moment in the kitchen!

rebecca & andrew's wedding shower

My friend Jamie organized the cutest wedding shower for our friends, Andrew and Rebecca, who are getting married in January. The shower was the perfect way to kick off fall...pumpkins galore as decoration, pumpkin pie, pumpkin dip, a fire pit, and a perfect crispness in the air!

I got to do the signage for the shower and especially enjoyed trying my hand at more chalk writing.

Congrats, you two!!

baby downey

My dear friend and cousin-in-law Carly is having her first baby, a little boy! For her baby shower, we decided to go with bright colors and vintage childrens' toys and books.

I had a blast making the invitations, addressing the envelopes, and making food signs and various other signs for the shower...it was a great time celebrating new life!

We can't wait to meet you, sweet baby!
